COM 1796: Population Health and Scholarly Engagement (PHASE II)

This course consists of 2 modules. The first module (COM 1795) will provide opportunities for students to discuss some of the complexities in health care, value-based care, patient safety, quality improvement, physician leadership, population health, social determinants of health, and medical ethics. The second module (COM 1796) will introduce biostatistics, epidemiology, study, and evidence-based medicine methods as applied to health sciences research. Student doctors will gain a comprehensive understanding of key epidemiological principles and study designs, along with the ability to critically evaluate public health data. (A,B,C,F grade)
