Eligibility for Participation in On Campus

All students are eligible to participate in any open student club or organization event on campus.

Eligibility for Student Body Leadership

This table will show the eligibility for students to be elected to roles in Student Government Association (SGA), Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA), Osteopathic Physician & Surgeons of California (OPSC) positions. GPA will be checked periodically through the academic year to ensure students are staying within the GPA eligibility. Students who fall below their designated GPA or fall within Academic Warning or Academic Probation will be required to step down from their elected position.

OMS I            

OMS I students are not eligible to run for leadership positions until the spring term of their OMS I year. The only exception to this will be OMS I class office for Student Government Association (SGA).

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. 
  • Not currently on Academic Warning or Academic Probation as outlined in the Academic Standing Policy.
OMS II
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Not currently on Academic Warning or Academic Probation as outlined in the Academic Standing Policy.
OMS III
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Not currently on Academic Warning or Academic Probation as outlined in the Academic Standing Policy.
OMS IV
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Not currently on Academic Warning or Academic Probation as outlined in the Academic Standing Policy.
