Dean's List
During OMS-I or OMS-II years, students whose grade point average is above 3.50 and who are in the top ten (10) percent of the class for that semester is awarded Dean's List standing at the end of that semester. Dean's List can be awarded maximally up to four (4) semesters. The designation of Dean's List appears on the Academic Transcript and in the MSPE letter.
Graduation with Honors
The designation of “Honors” for graduation will be determined by the cumulative average earned at CHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Students with a cumulative average in the upper ten percent of their class will receive a diploma inscribed with “honors”.
The cumulative grade point averages consist of all grades earned from completed coursework during the OMS I and OMS II academic years, combined with the OMS III core clerkship grades cumulative COMAT scores and preceptor evaluation scores.
The one student with the highest overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) in their class will be noted as the "Valedictorian" in the program for the graduation ceremony. The second highest will be designated "Salutatorian".
