Dean's List
An OMS-I, OMS-II student, whose grade point average is in the top ten percent of the class for that semester is given Dean’s List standing at the end of that term.
Graduation with Honors
The designation of “Honors” for graduation will be determined by the cumulative average earned at CHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Students with a cumulative average in the upper ten percent of their class will receive a diploma inscribed with “honors”.
The cumulative grade point averages consist of all grades earned from completed coursework during the OMS I and OMS II academic years, combined with the OMS III core clerkship grades cumulative COMAT scores and preceptor evaluation scores.
The one student with the highest overall cumulative grade point average (GPA) in their class will be noted as the "Valedictorian" in the program for the graduation ceremony. The second highest will be designated "Salutatorian".
